  1. Banned Books Art Contest for Teens

    Teens, it's an art contest just for you! It's simple: create a piece of art based on a banned book and you could win a $50 gift certificate to Art House Supply & Custom Framing and a banned book of your choice. See ala.org/advocacy/bbooks to find your favorite book for inspiration - or ask a librarian! Entry forms can be picked up at the library, Art Supply House & Custom Framing, or downloaded from the link below. Accepting entries from teens in grades 6-12 from September 1-15, 2022. Art will be on display at The Hive during Banned Books Week, September 17-24, including a special artist reception on Tuesday, September 20th from 6-7 pm.     Need a little technical assistance? Questions on how to use email, Internet, basic Office apps? Would you like to learn more about library databases and streaming services (Overdrive and Hoopla)? Then sign up today! The library offers free 1-hr tutoring sessions with a member of our IT staff. Please be sure to bring any account passwords (email, Amazon, etc...) that you may need so we can assist you. Please be sure your device is fully charged or that you bring the charging cable with you. If you don't have a device we can provide a Windows laptop or Chromebook for you.
