New Transit Service - 160 West

Durango Transit expanded service to include Highway 160 West in March 2021. 
The route operates 7 days a week, every 30 minutes from 7:05 a.m. to 8:35 p.m. 

The Hwy 160 route was eliminated in 2018 due to budget cuts. Funding was identified and dedicated to expand transit service last year, and reinstating the Hwy 160 route was the highest expansion priority because of need.

Expansion to Hwy 160 was delayed, most recently, because of significant labor shortages. Durango Transit was able to offer retention and recruitment bonuses to transit operators using COVID-relief funding for transit. The additional staff allows Durango Transit to expand and better meet the transportation needs of the community.   

The route will serve fourteen new transit stops, including Manna Soup Kitchen, the Tech Center and many residential areas. Stop times are listed below:

To catch the Hwy. 160 route from the downtown Durango Transit Center, passengers should board the bus at Gate 4, which departs every 30 minutes at :05 and :35. All buses are wheelchair accessible.
