Black Tie

Snowdown at the Durango Public Library

Teens & tweens are invited to raid the library's crafting supplies to make fabulous formal wear accessories at our DIY Formal Wear program. Think duct tape bow ties, tissue paper corsages, and fancy beaded hairpins. The craft hour will take place Thursday, February 1st, from 4-5 p.m.

All ages are encouraged to join us February 2nd, from 3:30-5 p.m. to make buttons to enhance your black-tie look--because Snowdown is all about the bling!

And little ones and their families can join us for our Black Tie Preschool Dance Party where everyone is invited to dress their very best and dance to their favorite tunes Saturday, February 3rd, from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

A steamroller for Durango...96 years ago! 

On January 17, 1922, City Council heard a report from the City Manager on his recent trip to Denver.  He returned with a recommendation that the City buy a steam roller for use on the city streets.
