April 4th Election

City Election is April 4th! 

The City of Durango will be conducting its regular biennial election on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, to elect three City Council members and to decide on a citizen initiated proposed ordinance regarding the continued fluoridation of the municipal water supply of Durango. Candidates and Issue Forums

Durango Government Television (DGOV) will provide live coverage of the League of Women Voter's City Council Candidate Forum & Discussion of the Ballot Issue on Fluoride on Thursday, March 16th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Stop by in person at City Hall, 949 East 2nd Avenue, or stream it live. Replays will be available up to the day of the election.

Narrow Gauge Avenue Construction

Sewer Main Replacement Along Narrow Gauge Avenue

There is a sewer main replacement occurring along Narrow Gauge Avenue, between College & 8th Street. Expect periodic street closures around the construction zone and construction noise during the installation work. On-street metered parking in the construction zone will not be available. Chief of Police Appointment Confirmed

Council confirmed the City Manager's appointment of Durango's new Chief of Police, Kamran Afzal. Afzal's first day on the job will be April 17th.

River City Hall
