Durango, CO: The city is requesting feedback on conceptual alternatives for Junction Street through an online survey to gauge community support for possible redesigns.
The survey is open from Nov. 17 to Dec. 1. The Junction Street Traffic Calming Design Project scope includes traffic calming, pedestrian and bicycle facility improvements along Junction Street from West 3rd Avenue to County Road 204 / Dalla Mountain Park.
“The four conceptual alternatives were created from feedback received from the neighborhood at the October 26 meeting,” said Devin King, multimodal manager for the city. “The final conceptual design will likely include parts from multiple of the alternatives due to constraints along the corridor.”
The survey can be found here. The survey is also available in Spanish. After feedback has been received from the survey, the city will proceed with a conceptual plan for the full corridor and hold a public meeting on Dec. 14, 2023, for additional feedback.
Funding for this design project comes from the 2015 Half Cent Sales and Use Tax. For more information, call (970) 375-4955 or visit the city’s website.
