Durango, CO: The City of Durango has a street that needs a name. It is located between Backcountry Experience and River City Hall and serves the Fire Station and The Powerhouse. 
We are asking the community to join in the fun and help us narrow down some creative names through a survey. We invite you to choose your favorite from a list of staff suggestions or share your own idea.
The need for a street name stems from a property exchange between the city and Durango Fire Protection District. In July the fire district and the city finalized an exchange of ownership between River City Hall, located at 1235 Camino del Rio, and the former Durango School District 9R administration building, located at 201 E. 12th St.
The fire district is moving forward with rebuilding River City Hall to meet its needs as an emergency response facility. Before building can begin the River City Hall property needs to be subdivided, and giving the road a name is part of the subdivision process.
