Durango, CO: The City of Durango is seeking applicants for the Florida, 15th, and 3rd Intersection Focus Group.
The purpose of this focus group is to critically review public input, consultant proposed alternatives, data, and other feedback regarding the 15th Street, Florida Road, and East 3rd Avenue intersection to provide objective feedback regarding improvements.
City staff will host three meetings with focus group members throughout the month of October. The first will be Oct. 9, at noon, and will historic context and data on the intersection. The second meeting will be held Oct. 16 at noon and will focus on presenting the focus group with intersection studies and proposed options. The Third meeting will be held on Oct. 23 at noon and will be a longer meeting to discuss and provide objective feedback regarding intersection improvements.
Ideally, there would be five focus group participants that live in the vicinity of the intersection on 15th Street or East 3rd Avenue, someone who has biked or walked through the intersection, someone who understands engineering concepts, and two others that have no specific relation to the project.
