Durango, CO: The city of Durango invites residents to provide feedback directly to the executive leaders of the city during the second “Engage Durango Forum” to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
The goal of the forum, which will be the fourth Tuesday of every other month, is to connect the public with the city’s departmental directors on issues or questions pertaining to local government. The meeting Nov. 28 will include a public comment session, a brief presentation by city staff, and a breakout session where two directors from separate departments will be available at tables to talk to the public.
“This will be a great way for residents to provide direct feedback to their government officials,” said City Manager José Madrigal. “City staff listened to concerns raised by the public regarding the recent reorganization of the various boards and commissions, and we want to show we took those concerns seriously because public input is crucial to the city government operating effectively, and transparently.”
The first of these forums will be held 5-6:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave. For more information, please go to the city’s Connect and Engage webpage.
