Durango, CO: The state Department of Local Affairs awarded the city of Durango $1 million to help with the redevelopment of the former Best Western Inn that will create 120 affordable rental units.
Now called the Residences at Durango, the $35 million project received the state grant through HB21-1271, the Innovative Housing Incentive Grant Program. The money is offered to local governments that have implemented strategies to promote the development of innovative affordable housing projects.
