Durango-LaPlata County Airport (DRO) is pleased to announce Frontier Airlines will offer nonstop service between Durango and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) starting May 28, 2022. Tickets for the new flights are available now at

Frontier Airlines flights to Dallas will operate one day per week, with departures on Saturday during an initial summer seasonal period. Frontier will also continue service from Durango to Denver International Airport (DEN) two days per week, with departures on Thursday and Sunday. The Frontier service to both destinations will utilize 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

"We are excited that Frontier Airlines will be expanding their flight offerings at the Durango-La Plata County Airport this summer,” Aviation Director Tony Vicari said. “Dallas is the second largest origin and destination market for air travelers using DRO, and increased service to this popular destination will be well received by locals and visitors alike.”

“We are thrilled to again announce new service from Durango,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president commercial, Frontier Airlines. “Today’s announcement is a reflection of our very strong commitment to provide consumers in the region with Frontier’s ultra-low fares and friendly service.”

“Travelers used DRO at record-setting levels in 2021, and we’re confident our convenient location, comfortable facilities, and strong airline route network will continue to fulfill the air travel needs of our community,” Vicari said. “The addition of Dallas service by Frontier Airlines further enhances the route network available for travelers in Southwest Colorado and the Four Corners region.”
