Frontier Airlines has announced it will cancel twice-weekly nonstop flights between Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) effective March 5, 2022. Frontier will continue to offer twice-weekly nonstop flights between Denver International Airport (DEN) and DRO.

"We are of course disappointed that Frontier service to Las Vegas will end in early March,” said Aviation Director Tony Vicari. “However, we are pleased that Frontier will continue to offer uninterrupted service to Denver, the number one origin and destination market for air travelers using DRO.”

Flights to Las Vegas will continue to operate two days per week through March 4, with departures on Monday and Friday.

Flights to Denver will operate two days per week beginning March 6, with departures on Thursday and Sunday. The Frontier service utilizes 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

“Airlines routinely adjust their network strategy in response to passenger demand, and we will work closely with our partner in Frontier Airlines as they continue to offer low fares and nonstop flights to Denver,” Vicari said. “Travelers used DRO at record-setting levels in 2021, and we’re confident our convenient location, comfortable facilities, and strong airline route network will continue to fulfil the air travel needs of our community.”

Travelers with existing reservations for nonstop DRO-LAS service on Frontier after March 5 can rebook online or call 1-801-401-9000 for help with refunds or rebooking.
