The city of Durango is in the process of updating its Sustainability Plan and is seeking public input on draft plan strategies and actions via a series of virtual workshops.
The workshops kick off on Thursday, August 12. Each workshop will focus on a different plan sector. Meetings start at 5:30 p.m.
- August 12: Sustainable Consumption & Waste
- August 19: Economic Vitality & Quality of Life
- August 24: Water
- August 31: Energy
- September 14: Transportation & Land Use
- September 23: Natural Systems
The workshops will take place virtually. Find meeting links at DurangoGov.org/Zoom
The workshops will provide an overview of the Sustainability Plan process so far and the vision, strategies, actions and key metrics for the sector being covered. Staff will also seek input from community members to help refine and prioritize actions for inclusion in the final plan document.
The draft strategies and actions were developed by city staff with community input from a July 2020 survey. In addition, a Stakeholder Working Group continues to meet regularly to inform development of the Sustainability Plan.
