Durango Public Library is promoting early literacy by providing a free picture book to every four-year-old in Durango, October 13 – October 24, while supplies last, as part of the statewide One Book Colorado program.
Families of four-year-olds can stop by the Durango Public Library during regular library hours starting Tuesday, October 13th to pick up a copy of the book in either English or Spanish. Our new open hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10am-1pm. You can also request a book for curbside pick-up Tuesday – Saturday, 2-5pm. Call 970-375-3380 or email reference@durangogov.org to arrange curbside pick-up.
This year’s One Book Colorado finalists are: The Greatest Adventure by Tony Piedra, The Little Red Fort by Brenda Maier, and The Very Impatient Caterpillar by Russ Burach. The winning book will be announced on October 13th, the day the book giveaways begin throughout the state.
