Clean Commute Week
Wednesday, June 20, 2018
The City is hosting the 9th annual Clean Commute Week which celebrates walking, rolling, biking, riding the bus and carpooling around Durango. Clean Commute Week is an effort of the City of Durango to encourage citizens to get out of their single-occupant vehicle and try a more sustainable mode of transportation by commuting via public transportation, carpooling, walking, and bicycling.
Through the weekly events, people can learn that choosing a sustainable mode of transportation can be easy, cost effective, and fun – and an everyday way to commute! The week features many events including micro-bike tunes at the Farmers Market, the Paul Wilbert Memorial Passeggiata, a Community Forum, the Pedal vs. Metal Challenge, Bike to Work Day, the Love Your Commute Celebration and Awards Ceremony, a Business Commuter Challenge and Free Transit Days all week.
