Parks and Cemetery
If it’s a park, river trail, open space, or a river float, Durango has the outdoor playground for you! Check out our parks, open space, and trails for the activity that suits your needs.
Please help us maintain the quality of our parks, trails, and open space. Please pick up and properly dispose of your pet’s waste. Remember, all dogs must be on a leash on all city lands and trails, except the off-leash area.

Park Maintenance
The City of Durango promotes Best Management Practices in the stewardship of City lands to ensure the safe enjoyment of parks and open spaces in the community. The City has contracted with a third party provider for noxious weed abatement. Applications are conducted to improve the quality of the right-of-ways, parks and open spaces in the City’s system. The weed control is repeatedly tested and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and third party provider services are licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.
