Chapman Hill

Chapman Hill is a small, in-town ski and skate facility. During the winter, a refrigerated rink provides excellent ice skating. During the summer, the rink is used for rollerblading. The pavilion at Chapman Hill has concessions, room rentals, and a sitting area. Birthday parties are our specialty. Skating lessons and leagues are offered seasonally. There are several youth and adult hockey leagues that have ever-increasing numbers.

Chapman Hill Facility

The City of Durango is coordinating with San Juan Basin Public Health and La Plata County to take measures to ensure our staff and community members are not exposed to or contributing to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Chapman Hill has limited hours for public skate and children’s birthday parties. Please see the Chapman schedules below.

Guests are required to wear a mask while entering and exiting, and within the facility. Skaters may remove masks while skating if they are able to maintain the six-foot social distancing requirement. Skaters are asked to obey all safety signs inside of Chapman Hill Rink. Per state requirements, the maximum capacity of the facility is 50 skaters. If the facility is at full capacity, guests may need to wait outside for entry. Drinking fountains are closed; skaters should their own bring water bottles. Concessions are open.
