Durango Recycle Center Reopening

The Durango Recycle Center is currently open Tuesdays through Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for single stream drop-off only. The following restrictions apply:

  • All customers will be required to wear a face covering or mask while using the public drop off area. Customers not wearing face coverings will be asked to leave.
  • A maximum of two cars will be allowed in the drop off area at one time.
  • To ensure proper social distancing between customers and employees, only one person will be allowed out of the vehicle to dispose of recycle material.

Beginning June 6, the Durango Recycle Center will accept electronic waste, batteries and residential quantities of fluorescent bulbs on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Up to six large items will be accepted per vehicle.
