Strategy and Long-term Finance Advisory Board Overview
Created in 2019 The role of the Strategy and Long-term Finance Advisory Board is to focus on large financial and other issues that influence and impact Durango’s local economy by providing analysis on financial trends, risks, opportunities and report to City Council. Advisory Board members should seek innovative solutions and have a willingness to respectfully challenge assumptions
This Board will consist of five (5) regular voting members appointed by the City Council to terms of three (3) years.The Advisory Board members shall have expertise and experience in the following areas:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Data Acquisition
- Forecasting
- Research Capabilities and
- Economic Development Knowledge
At the discretion of City Council, Advisory Board members may be selected from the unincorporated portion of La Plata County.
