Durango Parks and Recreation organizes and hosts an assortment of special events for all ages and varying interests.

2012 Special Events Schedule

Fourth of July Freedom 5K
Wednesday, July 4, 2012 9 a.m.
Kick-off the 4th of July festivities at Rotarty Park by participating with family and friends in the Annual Fourth of July Freedom 5K+. All ages are welcome to run, walk, stroll, or stride. This event is FREE

Durango Parks and Recreation Kid's Triathlon
2012 date is pending.

Introducing youth ages 5-13 to the world of triathlons. This event prepares youth to compete and creates an opportunity to experience a little competition and good sportsmanship among friends and siblings.
