Durango
Transit (T) buses and trolleys
serve locations throughout the municipal limits of Durango.
Look for the “T” Logo on
all our buses and trolleys,
as well as at our bus stops.
Bus
Stops - Bus stops are the only places bus drivers
are allowed to pick up passengers. These bus stops are
marked with the Durango T logo. Please
arrive at the bus stop at least 5 minutes early and check
the name of the route on the bus to ensure that you are
boarding the correct bus.
Transfers

main transfer points for connecting with other routes

By
Request Only Stops - The
bus system is designed to allow certain stops at locations
that are not widely used. If you are located at a “by
request only” stop, please call 259-5438 at least
30 minutes in advance to be picked up.
Bike
Racks - Want to take your bike with you? All Durango
T buses are equipped with bike racks, which hold
two bikes. Bike racks are offered upon space availability.
Animas River Trail Connections - To
access Durango’s Animas River Trail, take the T
to Albertson’s and walk west toward the Animas River.
The trail can also be accessed at 9th Street, the Recreation
Center, and at the Durango Mall. Ask any of the bus drivers
and they will send you in the right direction.
Fixed
Route Bus System - Bus
routes serve Fort Lewis College and historic downtown
Durango as well as West and South Durango.
Fixed
Route Saturday Service (Route 5) - The fixed
route buses offer limited service on Saturdays. See
Route 5 and call 259-5438 for more information.
Main
Avenue Trolley - The historic-style trolleys
operate along Main Avenue from Iron Horse Inn to College
Dr. The trolley runs every 20 minutes from 7:00 am
until 7:40 pm Monday through Friday and on Saturdays
10:20 a.m. until 7:40 p.m..
Mercy
Hospital/Florida Road Service - Bus service is also offered
to Mercy Regional Medical Center and Florida Road from
the Albertson's transfer point. The service is offered
Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:00 a.m.
and 7:48 p.m. The last run returns from the hospital
at 7:10 p.m. For more information see the schedule or

Late
Night Weekend Bus Service - The
Late Night Weekend Bus operates on Friday and Saturday nights
from 11:00 pm - 2:30 am, and serves the restaurants and
nightclubs in downtown Durango. The last bus leaves downtown
Durango at 2:10 am. This service takes riders to anywhere
within the City limits north of the Highway 160 and 550
intersection.
Opportunity
Bus
- In accordance with the ADA, all buses and
trolleys are equipped for wheelchairs. Durango
Transit also operates a demand response service that
serves ADA-qualified residents of Durango unable to
use the buses and trolleys. The fare is $2.00. For

No-Service
Days - The buses do not operate on certain holidays,
including: Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas
Day, and New Year's Day.
