The following businesses have generously agreed to accept used motor oil and other automotive products AT NO CHARGE from Do- It -Yourselfers in our area.
When recycling your oil, please follow the guidelines described below. Each business reserves the right to decline any of the listed products if their tanks/storage areas are full, or if they believe the products to be contaminated or from a source other than a household Do- It -Yourselfer (no commercial or small business waste please!).
- BE SURE THE PRODUCTS ARE NOT CONTAMINATED! DO NOT MIX! No water, gasoline,
antifreeze, solvents or other toxic materials may be mixed with the oil or
other lubricants.
- 5 GALLON LIMIT FOR EACH TYPE OF FLUID. 1 BATTERY/DAY.
- NO CRACKED OR LEAKING BATTERIES. NO LEAKY CONTAINERS OR LEAKY OIL FILTERS!
- DO NOT LEAVE OIL OR OTHER RECYCLABLES outside a business if they are closed!
Hand it to an employee.
- TAKE YOUR CONTAINER HOME WITH YOU and reuse it for your next oil change or dispose of it in a trash can. It cannot be recycled. Do not leave it at the business!
OTHER LUBRICANTS include transmission fluid, power steering fluid and gear oil.
