CITIZENS' POLICE ACADEMY

The Citizens’ Police Academy allows members of the community to learn about the Durango Police Department directly from its officers. It is a ten-week program that meets one evening per week. Segments include:

• tactical operations
• investigations
• patrol procedures
• crime scene processing
• and more

Session XV of the Citizens' Police Academy, scheduled to start on March 15th, 2012. We will continue to accept applications to keep on file for the next session. 

Citizens’ Police Academy applications are accepted on an on-going basis for the annual class.
