Boards and Commissions

Board of Appeals

Formally known as the Land Use and Development Code Board of Appeals (BOA). The BOA reviews appeals specific to all types of land use, zoning and development planning.

Design Review Board

The Design Review Board (DRB) makes determinations on design issues for the downtown area, the River Corridor Overlay Zone and for commercial building projects and remodels. The DRB also reviews Sign Permit Applications.

Established Neighborhood Design Review Board

The Established Neighborhood Design Review Board (ENDRB) reviews alternative compliance requests specific to the Established Neighborhood Design Standards.

Historic Preservation Board

The Historic Preservation Board (HPB) meets on the third Wednesday of each month. Contact Vicki Vandegrift of the Planning and Community Development Department at 970-375-4856, or Nicol Killian at 970-375-4860 for more information.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission makes recommendations to City Council on Planned Developments, Annexations, Plats and amendments to the Land Use and Development Code (LUDC) and Comprehensive Plan. Planning Commission also reviews appeals of certain land use decisions.
