Newsrack Permit

     City Council recently passed a new city code for news racks that governs the location, appearance, and permit requirements.  This code applies to all newsracks and will go into effect on July 1, 2009.  There are no provisions in the code for "grandfathering."

     If you would like to place a newsrack on a public right of way, please fill out an application and submit it with the appropriate fees.  Please note that an application and associated $30 fee is required for each individual location. 

     A limited number of newsrack permits will be available, so interested parties are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.  We suggest that you look over the list of approved locations and provide a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice with your application.
