Ethics Board
Board Overview
Pursuant to the recently adopted Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics, City Council is soliciting applications for the Board of Ethics.  The purpose of the Board of Ethics is to issue advisory opinions on ethical issues arising under the Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics; to hear inquires or complaints; and to issue finding and recommendations regarding alleged violations of the Code. Interested applicants shall have expertise in ethic acquired through education or experience.

Special Requirements
All members are appointed by the City Council. Membership consists of five (5) at large community members who are appointed by a majority vote of City Council.  Council will appoint a minimum of three city resident to serve on the Board.  In selecting and appointing the other two members, City Council may appoint non-city residents.  Where possible, priority shall be given to city residents.   Appointees shall have expertise in ethics acquired through education or experience.
