Toilet leaks are hard to find. They are normally caused by:
- Bad flapper valve
- Flapper valve seat
- Bad ball cock valve
- Improperly positioned float arm
- Defective overflow tube.
How to check if your toilet is leaking:
- Drop a dye tablet or food coloring into the tank
- Do Not Flush!
- Water 15-20 minutes
If color appears you have a leak.
- Repair leaky faucets and showerheads.
- Replace washers
- Is it hot water
