The 6th Annual Youth Expo will be held in May 10, 2017 in Buckley Park. The Expo is an all-in-one forum to allow teenagers to learn about all of the high schools, activities, volunteer opportunities, jobs, internships, and resources available for teens in Durango.

We are presently recruiting local businesses and organizations to participate in the 6th annual Youth Expo. Businesses can register for booth space, free of charge.  To reserve space at the 6th Annual Youth Expo, please fill out this registration form. Once you fill out the registration form, a MYAC member will contact you with addition information about the Youth Expo.

If you have questions, please contact us at . Your booth registration includes a table, two chairs, and an online listing showcasing your business.  Your free listing will include the name of your agency, contact information and your logo.

The Youth Expo focuses on events and opportunities that fall into one of the categories listed below.

Job Opportunities
Many high school students look for jobs in the summer while school is out.  If your business falls under this category, you will be able to market your business to teens and solicit applications for summer positions that you are looking to fill.  By providing teens with job opportunities, they can expand their resume and experience in order to help with college and other future plans.

Education

In Durango, there are several options related to education, but many people don’t know about them, or how each one differs. At the Expo, the teens will be able to compare these options to determine which will be the best fit for their individual learning style and social needs. In this section, you as a vendor will be able to market your school to a wide range of students. We will also showcase institutions of higher learning.

Internships & Volunteering - Non-Profits and Other Organizations
There are many reasons why a student may want to volunteer or intern for your organization or business. There are many self-motivated and passionate teenagers looking for opportunities to make a difference. Also, in order to graduate from high school, students are asked to complete at least 20 hours of community service or volunteering. Many students wish to learn more about career options or further their career goals by volunteering or interning in a field that interests them. As a business or organization, you will meet motivated individuals with fresh ideas and enthusiasm that are ready to work.

Resources
As a vendor, you will be able to make your resource be more visible and accessible to the community that you are serving. By providing teens with your contact information and what you offer, they will have the information readily available should they ever need your assistance.
