View Larger Image The 6th Annual Youth Expo will be held in April 2017. The Expo is an all-in-one forum to allow teenagers to learn about all of the high schools, activities, volunteer opportunities, jobs, internships, and resources available for teens in Durango.

We are looking for local businesses and organizations to participate.  Last year was a great success and we hope that you will join us in making the fifth year even better!  Business can register for booth space free of charge.  To reserve space at the 5th Annual Youth Expo, please contact the MYAC Co-Chairs at . Your booth registration includes a table, two chairs, and an  online listing.  Your free listing will include the name of your agency, contact information and your logo .

The Youth Expo focuses on events and opportunities that fall into one of the four categories listed below.

Education

In Durango, there are seven high school options, but many people don’t know about them, or how each one differs.  At the Expo, the teens will be able to compare the schools side by side to determine which will be the best fit for their individual learning style and social needs.  In this section, you as a vendor will be able to market your school to a wide range of students.

Resources
As a vendor, you will be able to make your resource be more visible and accessible to the community that you are serving.  By providing teens with your contact information and what you offer, they will have the information readily available should they ever need your assistance.

Activities
Despite the number of extra-curricular opportunities for youth, many students don’t get involved.  With this expo, students will have the opportunity to explore the options available.  From this event, you will get more publicity for your organization, and be able to acquire more student involvement.

Internships/Volunteering/ Employment - Non-Profits/Organizations
There are three main reasons why a student may want to volunteer or intern for your organization or business.  First, there are many self-motivated and passionate teenagers looking for opportunities to make a difference.  Second, in order to graduate from high school, students are asked to complete a certain amount of volunteer hours.  Third, many students wish to learn more about career options or further their career goals by volunteering or interning in a field that interests them.  As a business or organization, you will get motivated individuals with fresh ideas and enthusiasm that are ready to work.

Youth Expo registration information will be available after the first of the year. Once registered, please email your logo as a .jpg file to .

MYAC will be contact exhibitors after the first of the year with further details.
