Commercial & Residential Multi-Family Complexes
Commercial and residential multi-family complexes with eight or more units are required to provide tenants with the opportunity to recycle single stream materials and mixed glass.

The City collects the following items in its recycling program:
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Mixed glass
  • Mixed metals
  • Mixed paper

Collection Containers
The City provides collection containers to commercial and residential multi-family complexes. A separate container is required for cardboard and glass, all other products can be combined in one container. The collection containers may not be stored within public rights of way without permission from the City Operations Department, and require 3 feet of clearance on either side and behind the container for our automated collection system to work safely.

For single stream material and glass, the City provides blue plastic collection containers similar to those used for garbage. For corrugated cardboard, the City provides blue rectangular metal recycling dumpsters. All of the City’s commercial recycling containers are serviced with fully-automated equipment.

Multi-Family Complex Recycling Collection Schedule
  • Corrugated cardboard - May be collected up to three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
    • Small amounts of corrugated cardboard can be recycled in Single Stream Recycling Containers.
  • Mixed Glass - Wednesday
  • View your single stream recycling collection day by using the service route map.
