Appeal  Land Use Application

Depending on the project, appeals require public meetings/hearings before the Design Review Board, Hist. Preservation Board, Parks and Rec Board, Board of Appeals, Planning Commission or City Council
Building Permit  Building Permit Application 

Requires a review by the Building, Planning, and Engineering departments and other associated agencies (i.e. Durango Fire and Rescue Authority)
Change of Use  Change of Use Application 

Requires a review by the Planning and Engineering Departments
Design Review for Commercial and Multi-Family Development 
 
Design Review Application 

Depending on the project, design review requires either planning staff review or a public meeting before the Design Review Board (DRB)
Commercial Solar Installation Design Review Application 

Depending on the visibility of the solar installation, solar reviews require either planning staff review or a public meeting before the Design Review Board (DRB)
Comprehensive Plan Amendment  Comprehensive Plan Amendment Application 
Requires public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council
Conditional Use Permit (CUP)  Land Use Application 

Requires public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council
Established Neighborhood Alternative Compliance (ENAC)  Land Use Application 

Depending on the project, alternative compliance review requires either planning staff review or a public meeting before the Established Neighborhood Design Review Board (ENDRB), or the Historic Preservation Board (HPB) if the property is located in the East Third Avenue Historic District
Fence/Wall Design Summary Fence/Wall Application 

A Fence/Wall Permit must be obtained prior to construction or substantial modification of any fence/wall.  If the fence/wall meets the applicable requirements, the permit can be issued administratively.  If a variance or alternative compliance is required, the BOA or DRB will review and decide on the request.
Final Plat and Mylar Recordation  Land Use Application 

Requires public meetings before the Planning Commission and City Council
Floodplain Management and Floodplain Development Permits  Floodplain Development Application 

Requires a review by the Planning and Engineering Departments and other pertinent City departments and local agencies
Hillside Development Land Use Application 

Depending on the project, hillside development requires either Planning staff review or a public hearing before the Planning Commission and City Council

River Corridor Overlay Zone Development (RCOZ)  Land Use Application 

Depending on the project, development in the River Corridor Overlay Zone requires Design Review Board (DRB) review and either planning staff review or a public hearing before the Planning Commission and City Council
Sign Permit (for information on sign permitting and allowances, please call the Community Development office at (970) 375-4850. Sign Permit Application 

Signs that meet all applicable requirements can be approved administratively by the Planning Department.
Site Plan Review  Land Use Application 

Requires a review by the Planning and Engineering Departments and other pertinent City departments and associated agencies
