The Durango Police Department is very active in all of our District 9R schools. The Police Department deploys school resource officers that take care of the Durango High School, Miller Middle School, Needham Elementary, Riverview Elementary, and Park Elementary. These officers teach in the classroom and are on campus to assist with security needs. These officers offer open lines of communication between the Durango Police Department, students, and 9R staff. These officers are also deeply involved in the Community Programs Unit and they oversee the following programs.
