Community Celebration & Fireworks this weekend! 

The display of the 4th of July fireworks will be on Saturday, November 11, 2017 starting at 5:30 p.m. The fireworks will culminate a Community Celebration that begins at 11:00 a.m. with the Veteran’s Day Parade on Main Avenue between College Drive and 12th Street. Learn more here.

Crews are continuing to pour concrete for the Aeration basin walls. The slab of the Aeration Basin is complete!

Durango Transit needs your help!

Due to budgetary constraints, which include a decrease in funding form state transit grants, Durango Transit will not be able to operate at current service levels in 2018. In order to be fiscally sustainable, service cuts are necessary.

Did You Know?

The Durango Public Library began to get off (or rather, onto) the ground in 1904.
In its meeting on 11/15/1904 Council appointed a committee to investigate the advisability of accepting an offer to donate public library books to the City and to secure a suitable location for the proper keeping of the library.
