Durango Transit

City of Durango Receives Anonymous Donation for Annual Transit Passes for Veterans

The donated passes will allow Veterans residing in Durango or La Plata County to access Durango Transit Services free of charge for an entire year. To redeem, bring photo & veteran ID to the Transit Center. Questions? Call 970-259-5438.

Did You Know? 

On April 21, 1936, Council agreed to fence the airport grounds on Reservoir Hill as soon as possible, at an expense not to exceed $200, “on account of live stock roaming, and automobiles running at random on the Airport grounds making it unsafe for the taking off or landing of Airplanes.” Use document search to pull up the minutes from the City Council meeting on 4/21/1936.
