To reduce traffic congestion and promote sustainable transportation, the City of Durango and the Durango Farmers Market have teamed up to incentivize riding transit. Market-goers can pick up free punch passes at the Transit Center, at the Farmers Market information booth, at the City of Durango booth, or onboard Durango Transit buses.
Transit riders can earn one punch each Saturday they ride Durango Transit. Prize drawings will be held twice during the season, on June 22 and October 26. Riders must have at least four punches to be eligible to win. Prizes will include Market Bucks, Osprey packs, Hydroflasks, Go Green lunchboxes, Transit passes, and more!
The Durango Farmers Market returns Saturday, May 11, and will be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon in the TBK Bank parking lot (259 West 9th Street) through October 26. Parking across the street in the Transit Center lot is free on weekends. Bathrooms in the Transit Center lobby are available for public use during Farmers Market hours. Please avoid parking in the Post Office parking lot.
